LOS ANGELES, CA—May 2, 2008 - Rare Natural Care, Inc. today announced that its vegan, organic RARE2B® skin care line has been selected to aid in fundraising efforts for three high profile organizations: the Rainforest Foundation Fund, the African Rainforest Conservancy and, through purchases made from the Y Catalog, the Seva Foundation.

Trudie Styler and her husband Sting liked RARE2B’s 100 percent natural, vegan products so much they requested the inclusion of RARE2B in gift bags for the upcoming Rainforest Foundation Fund’s benefit concert on May 8 at New York’s Carnegie Hall, which will be followed by a gala dinner at the legendary Plaza Hotel's Grand Ballroom.
Among the 700 gala attendees who will be receiving RARE2B’s award-winning Travel Kits with samples from the skin care line are performers Billy Joel, James Taylor, Sting, Brian Wilson, Alexa Ray Joel, CoCo Sumner, Ben Taylor, and Sally Taylor, along with many more special guests. The RARE2B Travel Kit contains 1-oz. tubes of four products from the RARE2B line: Hydrating Day Cream, Restorative Night Cream, Detox Facial Mask, and Body Lotion.
Founded by Sting and Trudie Styler in 1989, The Rainforest Foundation Fund is a charitable foundation with a mission to protect and support indigenous peoples, and traditional populations of the Rainforest in their efforts to protect their environment and fulfill their rights.
Also taking home RARE2B’s Travel Kits in event gift bags were guests at the African Rainforest Conservancy (ARC)’s “Artists for Africa” benefit which took place April 21 at the Bowery Hotel in New York City. The organization raises money to help save the ancient rainforests of Africa and protect the world's climate. ARC’s sustainable nature based programs ensure that the next generation will not have to choose between conserving and destroying their forests to survive. Notable supportersinclude Peter Beard, Matt Dillon, Harrison Ford, Eric Goode, Fisher Stevens, Patrick McMullan, Nicole Miller, George Plimpton, Ringo Starr, Christy Turlington and Denzel Washington.
In addition to supporting the above-mentioned benefits, RARE2B is the only skincare line featured in the Spring/Summer edition of The Y Catalog, which provides conscious shoppers with high quality yoga products and other healthy lifestyle products. Rare Natural, Inc. has agreed to donate 10% of its sales from the Y Catalog to the Seva Foundation. A Rare Travel Treat
January in Detroit is cold. And gray. Quite frankly, it's not too uplifting of a season for us wandering folks who aren't wandering. So, when I arrived home after a late industry dinner the other night, I was more than pleased to see a lovely package near my mailbox. Considering the fact that the jaunt from garage to mailbox is often icy and my high heels are cruelly unpredictable, it takes a gleaming ray of hope to spark my interest.

When it comes to her pores, Babe always plays dirty -- those little suckers are consistently clogged, regardless of the weather, her mood or which party holds the majority in Congress. Her secret weapons of late are clay and charcoal. Not a pretty color but they make a great replacement for harsher chemicals in facial products.

So when a product comes along that doesn't test on animals and contains no animal by-products, I am more than willing to give it a try.
